ISKRA waldorf Osijek waldorfska škola

To create conditions in which children can simply “be” and develop optimally, to explore themselves and the world, and then to create from their unfettered genius and creativity for the benefit of the community.

In our work we are guided by the above-mentioned ideas. We are aware of the importance of education and upbringing for the development of an individual, his psycho-physical health and ultimately his talent development and self-realization.

This is the reason why we decided to take concrete action through the most current and world- wide pedagogical approach - Waldorf pedagogy.

The ISKRA Waldorf Initiative Association was founded in 2015. and today it has the status of "association of special importance for the City of Osijek in working with children and youth in the field of education."

We have established cooperation with numerous schools, colleges, civil, public and private sector organizations, but also with citizens, which we are always happy to meet and include in our activities.

We have dozens of members and volunteers and we are proud to point out the expertise of our staff in various fields of education and related disciplines.

Shape

The idea that education should be an "impetus for social change" has led us to implement many social projects, which permanently contribute to the development of not only the quality of education, but also the community. Projects, programs, festivals, camps, seminars, workshops, inclusive activities, family involvement - all these are steps in the vision of a more sustainable community.

We started Iskrica - a babysitting business which functions as a Waldorf kindergarten in 2017, , and we also initiated the launch of Waldorf groups in the Kindergarten Osijek, which should soon begin their work.

We are included in the Program of social services in the territory of the Republic of Croatia and in the Program of social activities from 2021 to 2027 in the city of Osijek.

We are the founders of the Waldorf School in Osijek, which will officially open its doors in September 2021.

In our work we are guided by the values that accompany Waldorf pedagogy: humanity, responsibility, cooperation, understanding, responsibility, solidarity, proactivity, innovation, creativity and health. We strive to implement these values in our work with children, youth and adults.
